Report

This page will explain the all the elements in the monthly and weekly report.

Ymonitor Report

The report gives information on availability, performance and Apdex values for your applications. The availability of transactions is plotted in a line graph in percentages over time. T

he higher the percentages, the higher the availability of the transaction. Performance by transaction graph shows the performance of your application in seconds over time. Any peak in graph line indicates a decrease in performance. The Apdex value of your application is plotted against time in a separate graph. A higher index value indicates a more satisfying end-user experience.

You can subscribe for Ymonitor report on 'My notifications' page under 'Account Settings' menu.

In 'My Notifications' page, you can select a company from the list on the left side of the page or directly search the name of the company via search bar on top of the list to configure your personal report subscription. You can just click the Email checkbox under the Reports column of the service you wish to receive the Ymonitor report for.

Splunk Report

The Splunk report consists of an overview of availability statistics, performance metrics, incidents and Apdex values of your applications. Each page represents one service to provide a clear overview of the applications' performance over the last period.

As an Ymonitor user you can receive or Ymonitor or Splunk reporting. You can decide about the choice with your Service delivery team.

Apdex

The Application Performance Index (APDEX) is an index number which shows end-user happiness based on the response time of the used application. A higher index number indicates a more positive end-user experience. What response times you consider statisfying, tolerate and frustrating is entirely up to you and is configurable in Ymonitor to represent what your end-users find acceptable. The response times are divided into three categories.

Services

For every service, you will receive information about the following topics:

KPI's

This part will show an overview of the KPI's for last week/month. The arrows will indicate if the KPI's are increased, stable or decreased compared to the previous period.

Performance

Shows the performance of the service in seconds

Apdex

Shows the apdex value of the service

Availability

Shows the percentage of availability of the service

Minutes unavailable

Shows amount of minutes of unavailability of the service

Example:

Availability

The availability and downtime of all transactions can be seen under availability tab. The availability of the transactions is shown in percentages. Any incident would have an availability of less than 100%. The total downtime of the transactions is shown in minutes. In case of a full availability, the downtime will be 0 minutes.
The average availability of all transactions for the past four weeks or months can be seen on the right side of the page. Each bar represents the average availability in percentage.

Incidents

This part will show an overview of the incidents on the service per transaction for the last week/month. The last column will contain more detailed information about the incident if necessary.

Example:

Performance

The data under the performance tab summarizes the performance and apdex values per transaction in two separate tables. The table on the left side shows performance values of the configured transactions in seconds. The first two columns next to the transaction name column show the performance values of the transactions that belong to the last two weeks/months. The difference between the performances of these two weeks/months can be seen on the fourth column of this table.
The table on the right side of the page shows the apdex values of the configured transactions for the past two weeks/months and the difference between them.
The graph below tables shows performance of configured transactions in seconds over time.
