Menubar

In the header you can select what information you want to see. On this page, we will give a short explanation on what each button in this bar does.

Service selection

At the top, there is the button to select which application you want to see your data. If you click on the name of the currently selected service, you will get a list of the different services you can currently view. It is possible to type in this field to perform a search. In the case you are missing applications, please contact your Ketenbewaking team. They can help you with this. You can have a default service shown when you open this screen. You can update this default service value under 'My profile', fill in the fields 'Default company' and 'Default service' and push the icon 'v' to save.

Time selection

In the center of the bar, you can see the current time selection. There are two parts to this section. On the right side you can see what the current time is set to. This can be one of the preset options or a custom time selection. Clicking on the current selection will bring up the menu.

If you select a preset, it will automatically use the current date and time as the end selection. For instance, if you choose for 24 hours it will take the current time as the end time and the start time will be exactly a day ago. On the left side there is the current selected time range along with buttons to scroll through the time. If the refresh button is used, it will recalculate the preset option with the current time.

If the refresh button is used, it will recalculate the preset option with the current time.

If the left or right arrow is pressed, the time will shift as much as is currently selected. In the sample with 24 hours selected this would mean that if the left arrow is pressed the time will change to show 24 hours before the current selection.

The other option to change the time and date selected is to click on the time range shown. A model will show up where you can select the wanted time. At the top left and top right you see the buttons which are used for selecting the year. Underneath you find the choices for the month and the calendar for the days. "Date" will show you the date selected, you have to do this for both sides if you want a custom date. For a time you can type in the time in the boxes beneath the calendar. Next to that, it is possible to type in the date and time in the boxes on the top of the model. See the image below for an example.

Filter

There is 'Filter' button next to the 'Time Selection' button. If this button is clicked it will show the window you can see below.

This window is used to filter out certain transactions or sentinels. This can be useful in, for example, the following example.

The application measured is opening a website within a Citrix environment. Since Citrix usually take a while to connect and set up the graph will be out of proportion. If Citrix would take 60 seconds and the other transactions have a response time between 0 and 2 seconds, then you will not be able to make out the details of the faster transactions. In that case it's possible to deselect Citrix in the filters and then press apply. The data in Ymonitor will refresh. In the new data the unselected transactions or Sentinels will not be shown.

For the sentinels, it could be beneficial to deselect certain type of sentinel. For example, a datacenter so that you can more clearly see the average of your other locations.
