Timezones

There are two places where timezones are used in Ymonitor. On a service level and a personal level.

Service

This timezone can only be set in our backend. It is used when you receive a report send by Ymonitor itself.

The times that are shown in the report are based on the timezone selected. Everyone receiving the report will have the same times shown to make it easy to share the reports and discuss the implications.

Personal

If you go to your profile page you can set a timezone for yourself. If you click edit user then you can set a new timezone.

This timezone is used in the alerts you receive. Any email or text you receive will mention the times in the timezone you have set in your profile.

In the case that you and a colleague receive the same alert but showing different times it is probably because the timezones in your profiles don’t match.
